Drive Smart, Keep Energy Conservation in Mind

Simple ways to increase your fuel mileage and be more energy-efficient while driving:
  • Avoid hard acceleration. Instead of braking or accelerating aggressively, try to coast as much as possible – this can increase your fuel mileage by as much as 30 percent!
  • Park in the shade
  • Use Cruise control on the highway
  • Perform regular vehicle maintenance: check your air filter, align your tires, and make sure your gas cap is tightly closed (otherwise gas will evaporate), and maintain proper air pressure in your tires
  • Avoid idling
  • Lastly, Drive Less! Consolidate your trips, carpool with a friend or co-worker, or ride your bike (like the electric bike!)
