Energy Conservation and the Stimulus Bill

President Obama signed the economic stimulus bill today. The 1,000-plus page bill has many different provisions its sponsors say will help stimulate economic recovery, including significant amounts for new energy efficiency programs. The Alliance to Save Energy has posted a summary of the energy conservation provisions on their Web site.

Still, we were wondering what energy efficiency projects you would like to see come from the stimulus package?

I would like to see more wind and solar power units built. Solar energy has had very little usage since it was developed.

Many states and state utilities have incentive programs to assist with energy efficient appliances such as solar hot water, instant on hot water, solar panels. Our friends in Colorado had 30% off before the Fed tax credit. Fed at 30% is nice, isn't it worth something to the utility to not have build dirty coal plants?
